A person tossed fireworks out of a car on the Las Vegas Strip early Saturday morning, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said. A tree caught fire as a result.

The incendiary was thrown and the tree caught fire in the 3700 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard, LVMPD said on X. The fire was kept to a small area and quickly extinguished.

The Clark County Fire Department responded to the scene at around 12:30 a.m. local time, according to KLAS-TV.

LVMPD did not report any injuries resulting from the incident.

Police told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that the fireworks are believed to have been thrown by a passenger in a white SUV that was also seen driving erratically.

Purported witness and TikTok user Baby Khaled posted a video of the fire, saying that “we just had an explosion go off,” and also claimed to have seen the car in question. The end of his video shows a white car swerving back and forth before ultimately driving away.
