Bryan Kohberger may be composed of flesh, blood and bones, but he’s void of any human emotions such as love, joy, sadness or fear (“Love for murdered Idaho students and condemnation for Bryan Kohberger mark his sentencing,” Web, July 23).

Mr. Kohberger is nothing but a heartless, soulless, cold-blooded killer. He is a blob of protoplasm incapable of any remorse for his premeditated and heinous crime of bludgeoning to death four young, beautiful college students merely enjoying their lives. I seriously doubt that any words spoken in the courtroom by the victims’ loved ones even penetrated that man’s empty shell.

Let us hope that these shattered families will somehow find the peace and strength to keep putting one foot in front of the other.

In the meantime, Mr. Kohberger is now the burden of us taxpayers, who will be footing the bill for his prison upkeep for the rest of his life. At age 28, he has many years ahead of him.
