Maryland Governor Wes Moore was on “Special Report with Bret Baier” on Fox News last Friday, and one of the topics he discussed was immigration.

Whenever Mr. Baier asked him about the Trump administration’s efforts to clean up the Biden administration’s mess in Maryland caused by allowing millions of illegal immigrates into the U.S., the governor always responded that what is needed is a comprehensive immigration program.

By answering specific questions on illegal immigration problems with this broad-brush response, Mr. Moore tried to shield himself from having to comment on the rights or wrongs of the Biden administration’s open borders policy — or from having to say anything about the Trump administration’s efforts to fix the situation.

But what I want to know from Mr. Moore and every other state leader and member of Congress is this: What is a comprehensive immigration policy?

While everyone seems to use the term and laments that no such policy exists, it also seems no one has produced such a plan for consideration!

If there isn’t such a plan — or even the concept or outline of such a plan — this is all smoke and mirrors. It’s a joke by the elected officials to confuse the populace. It’s time for a real plan.
