Faith and freedom are inextricably linked and the reason why America is facing so many problems right now is the lack of belief in God, and the lack of obedience to God. So says Judge Phil Ginn, president of the Southern Evangelical Seminary, who’s been looking with alarm at the emptying of the church pews in America, and seeing a direct correlation between that and the rise of socialism in the political realms.

“The very first right that’s placed into our Bill of Rights is the freedom of religion, followed closely by the freedom of speech and those are really tied together,” Ginn said. “When you see those two things attacked … it’s time for believers to be concerned.”

And that’s where America is at right now, he went on.

“Christianity always has been and should be and should continue to be the conscience of our nation,” Ginn said, then asking, “When we have a lack of morality, who’s to protect us from the deluge of culture [rot]?”
