I have no problem with Jayden Daniels’ placement (“Commanders’ Daniels ranks fifth among quarterbacks in survey of NFL coaches, executives,” Web, July 14). Daniels was single-handedly the most exciting story of the 2024 NFL season.

Fans knew several quarterbacks selected in the first round of his draft class would make an impact, but even the most optimistic observers could not have predicted that Daniels would help turn around the Commanders in year one. I hope they continue to add tools around him.

That being said, the Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes is a dubious choice for No. 1 in the survey, or even the top three going into 2025. The Bills’ Josh Allen should have been No. 1.
