President Trump’s herculean accomplishments his first six months in office did not cause the feckless Democrats to take pause, and they’re at it again.

Their paid agitators are in the streets. They’re aiding and abetting illegals trying to evade U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). And Democrats in Congress are calling for Mr. Trump’s impeachment.  But the real joke is California Gov. Gavin Newsom (“Newsom heads deep into MAGA country, pitches himself as Trump antidotes,” Web, July 8). As Susan Ferrechio writes, Mr. Newsom “is pitching himself as an antidote to President Trump.”

Our president has restored national pride and our leadership position in the world. The Big Beautiful Bill has been signed into law and will provide permanent tax relief for all citizens. It will provide critically needed funding for the Defense Department, strengthen Medicare and Medicaid and give ICE the resources it needs to remove millions of illegals.

This is just a partial list of accomplishments in what arguably is the most successful first six months of any president in the history of our nation. As Mr. Trump frequently says, “promises made, promises kept.”

After living through the malaise, misery, corruption and national humiliation of the Biden administration (and witnessing Mr. Newsom single-handedly destroy what was the most beautiful and prosperous state in the nation), it appears the voters have already found the antidote, and his name is Donald Trump.

However, Democrats should continue down the current path. Keep admiring your work, paying your agitators, threatening impeachment, dividing our country and bashing our president and his accomplishments. Mr. Trump’s ratings are at an all-time high, so I’m almost certain you’re on the right path and your strategy is working.
