In the 1970s, a spiritual awakening to the presence and power of Jesus swept first the West Coast, and then the East Coast, particularly on college campuses.

It was the Jesus Freak movement.



“It was really pretty amazing. Lot of miracles were happening. Lot of people being saved. Lot of people being delivered from drugs … lot of things happening that were so spiritual, so profound, you’ll never forget them,” said Nina May, co-producer of the new, based-on-true “Jesus Freaks” movie, in which she shares her own personal experience on college campus at a time when the Holy Spirit was touching her classmates, including her future husband, Colby.
