Houston, we have a problem: The 25-watt luminaries that make up the Democratic congressional members have collectively demonstrated the extent to which their party has gone off the rails (“Sen. Elizabeth Warren shows why Democrats won’t win,” Web, Feb. 12). The devolution into high-school behavior and the use of foul language from supposed adults in powerful positions indicates the need for an intervention — and that means vote the bums out.

It is interesting that many of these so-called representatives have used the word “our” when talking about the money under discussion in debates about the movement to eradicate waste, fraud and abuse in our government. What they are saying is that taxpayer money is for the use of the Democratic Party, not the American citizen. Their brazen theft of taxpayer money in support of left-wing ideology not only in domestic policy but also world policy is an affront to all Americans who pay taxes in the mistaken belief that the money goes to defending us from aggressors, providing safety to our citizens and supporting Americans in need.

Ironically, the Democrats rail against “attacks on democracy” while supporting law-breaking on a massive scale. Even Joe Biden felt emboldened to thumb his nose at the Supreme Court ruling against his bid to eliminate student debt. So much for nobody being above the law.
