OPINION:
Headlines are alive with news of Secretary of War-slash-Defense Pete Hegseth’s supposed “war crime” and Adm. Frank “Mitch” Bradley’s supposed “illegal order” and double-tap this, double-tap that, and international law and “kill them all, kill them all!” — yada, yada. It’s all very exciting stuff.
Too bad nobody’s really reading. So sad nobody really cares.
Seriously. Ask an average American citizen about top ten concerns for this nation, and coming in about number, oh, just to highball it, just to take a decent off-the-top-of-head guess, let’s say, 197th, would be the targeted shooting of boats running fentanyl and other drugs into America, and the subsequent deaths of the drug-running scum buckets and cartel slime. No, nope. Let’s make that 198th. At 197 is the angst of Al Gore over fictitious polar bear deaths.
“Pete Hegseth Dodges Key Question About Boat Strike,” The New Republic wrote.
“The ‘double tap’ strike on 2 September has drawn bipartisan scrutiny among US lawmakers. The Washington Post recently reported that two people survived the first blast and were still clinging to the burning vessel when they were killed, raising fresh legality questions,” BBC reported. Gotta love the sourcing on this one. It’s like a liar asking a liar for truth. Or a Democrat asking a Democrat for a truthful accounting. Not to be redundant.
“House Democrats to file articles of impeachment against Pete Hegseth,” The Independent wrote three days ago. And away we go!
“Trump can’t save Hegseth now — no one can,” The Hill wrote two days ago.
“‘War criminal’: Indian-origin Shri Thanedar announces impeachment articles against Pete Hegseth,” The Times of India wrote one day ago.
“Even apparent war crimes won’t stop the GOP from defending Hegseth,” Daily Kos wrote a day ago.
“Does Pete Hegseth even believe that war crimes exist?” The Guardian published, in an opinion piece a few hours ago.
Why do Democrats and their leftist loon supporters always come to the aid and comfort of the criminal element? Years ago, Rep. Nancy Pelosi protested President Donald Trump’s characterization of MS-13 members as “animals” and rushed to the media to make clear “we’re all God’s children.” Months ago, Sen. Chris Van Hollen flew to El Salvador to have a sit-down to sip margaritas with the deported wife-beater and suspected Tren de Aragua member Kilmar Abrego Garcia. Democrats just can’t help themselves. Something about murderers, rapists, drug-runners and traffickers draws them in deep, resonates with them, prods their sympathies. It’s like bees to honey; cult worshippers, unite!
Anyhow, the Democrats are looking for their next impeachment and they see these boat strikes as their best cause because a) they can show some flashy images on news of blown-up boats that they think will evoke angry emotions of shock and aw and outrage among viewers, and b) the libertarian-leaning of the GOP are aligned with Democrats’ calls for constitutional — that is, constitutooooooshunnel — scrutiny of the matter, thereby giving an appearance of non-partisan shock and awe and outrage.
All along Americans are supposed to forget that if drug-runners don’t want to be blown into bits along with their illegal product they can choose to stop running drugs. Simple, meet solution. America’s long-time war on drugs could come to a near-immediate halt if the cartels stopped pushing their poison into this country.

“Democrats are demanding the release of the full video … as well as written records of the orders and any directives from Hegseth,” The Navy Times reported.
Yes. Impeach Hegseth. Then impeach Trump. Impeach ‘em all, that’s what Democrats always say. If Democrats and their enablers in the media spent as much time writing of the atrocities of gang members, cartels, drug traffickers and illegals as they do fabricating atrocities of the Trump administration, this nation would be well on its way to being crime-free, illegals-free, gang-free and trafficker free.
