A traveler at Washington Dulles International Airport ended up in the hospital Thursday after getting stuck in baggage delivery equipment.
The traveler was in the international arrivals baggage claim area at around 9 a.m., then made an “unauthorized entry” into the baggage delivery system, Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority spokeswoman Emily McGee told Maryland’s WDVM-TV.
The authority, which oversees Dulles and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, has not disclosed the person’s name or said exactly how the accident happened.
Fire and rescue personnel at Dulles eventually took the traveler to the hospital, according to WJLA-TV. Officials have not said what exact injuries the person suffered.
