OPINION:
It seems that every week, we read about another federal agency driven by political agendas rather than fact-based policies. This current form of political theater doesn’t surprise me, since it is based on the ending of government entitlements enjoyed for decades by Democrats.
I recently had a conversation with several Biden supporters, and despite the Trump administration’s accomplishments over the past six months, they were all adamant that nothing has improved. It made me recall President Trump’s speech to a joint session of Congress in March, in which he said, “There is absolutely nothing I can say to make [Democrats] happy.”
I have been shocked at the information recently released showing just how far Democratic leaders went in colluding with the legacy news outlets to protect such ideologies. Serving in Congress is not a right to which these men and women are entitled; nor is protecting entitlement agendas.
I guess integrity and accountability mean nothing to the political left.
I tried to clarify to the Biden supporters with whom I was speaking that the previous president allowed SNAP benefits to expand massively and without verification. But the idea that a SNAP benefit applicant should be required to provide certain documents, such as a driver’s license, Social Security card and proof of part-time work, was unacceptable to them. I also mentioned border security and lower food and gas prices as accomplishments of the Trump administration, but they rejected each of these improvements.
So here we are. Denial and misused words are the default response of the left. The end game of the Democrats is nothing more than demanding the continuation of government entitlements, regardless of fund misuse and fraud, which have been uncovered by the new administration.
