It’s August 5th. 

I’m Ben Wolfgang and this is today’s Pentagon Minute. 

The Defense Department is slashing 80% of the workforce from its Defense Technical Information Center. 



Russia says it is no longer bound by a self-imposed moratorium on the deployment of nuclear-capable intermediate range missiles. 

And a retired Air Force General warns the service is the oldest, smallest, and least ready in its history and has become a strategic liability.
