America just celebrated its 249th anniversary, commemorating when the Founders and patriots created the oldest government on Earth that protects the unalienable rights of all men to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. (Later came property and all citizens.)

Now, however, public interest seems to have refocused on sex discrimination.

I understand that sex discrimination is important, but it pales in significance to discrimination based on race and culture, the sort practiced by Islamist terrorists such as the Taliban, the Islamic State group, Boko Haram, Al-Shabaab and al-Qaida. Hitler and his Nazi followers would be proud of these terrorists.

I join many friends among the 19 million living veterans in the U.S. who still honor our oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” Many of us are no longer able to charge and maneuver, but we still can and will defend a post with our lives.

Domestic enemies should beware of us old coots, who are no longer frightened by life in prison and worship America and all it stands for.
