OPINION:
Columbine High School, Virginia Tech, Sandy Hook Elementary, Parkland High School, Santa Fe High School, Robb Elementary and now Annunciation Catholic School. What do they all have in common? At every one, American students were slaughtered by a maniac because the schools they attended would not provide them with a scintilla of protection.
Unless our schools “fortify” their locations with serious armed security, such slaughter will never stop in this country.
I am not talking about some octogenarian with a flintlock squirrel gun, either. Schools must hire former Navy SEALs or Green Berets with AR-15s, etc. Because, as we have seen over and over, the maniacs who commit these heinous shootings at school show up with an arsenal of weapons.
The radical left’s constant blame for this slaughter on guns just pours fuel on the fire. If some miracle happened and no guns existed, the maniac would simply use something else (like knives, a car, explosives, even fertilizer).
Remember, an armed society is a polite society. When the good people have guns, the bad actors stay away. If this action is not taken, one wonders why parents would continue to send their children to schools, which have become death traps.
