The Trump administration is suing a group of federal judges for requiring him and his Department of Homeland Security to delay the deportation of illegal immigrants to their home countries.  A judge indicated that a short delay would allow illegal migrants to appeal the action.

Short or not, this action allows one branch of the government to require another branch to take a designated action. If a court agrees with the judges who ordered the deportation delay, we have a situation wherein the president must get permission from a federal judge to take an action.

Who is in charge of immigration, the president and Homeland security or federal judges?
