Has the Washington Times become a liberal rag? Reading some of “news” articles lately, it appears it has — or at a minimum, that it is starting to lean that way. For example, in “DOJ presses the Supreme Court to curtail the wall of resistance Trump is facing from judges” (Web, April 7), the lede is “The Justice Department on Monday begged the Supreme Court to step in and curtail the wall of resistance President Trump is facing from judges, saying federal courts are overstepping their powers in a rush to block the administration.” Did the Justice Department get on its hands and knees? I don’t think so. The correct word here — at least according to real journalism standards — should be “petitioned.”

I’ve been seeing this type of writing more and more in the Times and I’m just about ready to cancel my subscription. I’d be curious to know how many subscribers already have.
