OPINION:
With Michael McKenna’s recent op-ed (“250 years after Lexington and Concord, do we still fight for freedom?” Web, April 20), the Washington Times has reached peak Trump Derangement Syndrome. Other letter writers have recently complained about the sly, nuanced digs at President Trump, but McKenna doesn’t hide his bias. In fact, he is in complete alignment with the notoriously biased New York Times when he suggests that we should resist the Trump administration.
The column’s subheding is, “Are we still willing to tolerate the idea that one man or group should tell us what to do?” Well, if you believe in the Constitution and an elected president and Congress, the answer is yes. But it sounds like McKenna would say no.
