Kamala Harris and her Democratic handlers have struck upon a very smart campaign strategy: Focus on the discord in our politics that has existed since Barack Obama’s presidency. People are tired of the rhetoric spewed out daily by the mainstream media and the harsh language used by Donald Trump.

Thus, Ms. Harris is promoting comity, courtesy, friendliness and unity among all Americans. However, something she fails to point out (and the most of the public fails to see anyway) is that the media itself has promoted and in fact created most of the hateful discord and hostility that batters us every day.

People are yearning for a time before the vast divide that exists today. I’m one of these people, but I don’t believe that removing what separates us should come at the cost of losing our country to the far left’s lies about everything. The far left is hoping calming words act as a tranquilizer and remove the focus on the state of our economy and the known, proven dangers of socialism and communism.
