OPINION:
Israel’s recent actions against Hezbollah are preemptive (“Israeli attacks on Hezbollah devices signal shift to nonkinetic warfare,” Web, Sept. 20). The Israeli people know that the single goal of their enemies is to wipe them off the land given them by God. As it is written in Psalms 83:4: “’Come,’ they say. ’Let us destroy them as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more. With one mind they plot together.’”
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan wants to form an “army of Islam” to invade Israel. This invasion will happen eventually; I believe it is described in Ezekiel 38 and 39. Read those chapters for the startling climax.
Israel is headed for a lot more trouble, but even under the worst conditions possible, the Jewish nation’s enemies will be made to understand that the tiny country is the apple of God’s eye. Islamist plans for the destruction of Israel are going to boomerang and bring to Israel’s nemeses what they intended for Israel.
