OPINION:
There have been two assassination attempts in two months on the only man who can restore not only the integrity of the U.S. but the balance of power in the world — and the official response has been feeble at best (“Assassination attempts on Trump fuel distrust of the government,” Web, Sept. 18).
We’ve had two glaring security failures that a child could have spotted in a split second, and all they’ve produced have been excuses including “It was too hot” and “The roof was too slanted.” Did I hear that right?
These failures show a subterranean level of incompetence. Not only are they proof enough of a complete lack of interest in protecting former President Trump, but they suggest something one hates to think of: complicity.
Since God became unwelcome in the public sphere, things have gone downhill. We must ask God to come out of His heaven and restore our faith, prosperity and happiness.
