OPINION:
Calling former President Donald Trump un-American for criticizing the government is itself un-American (“Biden vents frustration at Trump during hurricane briefing: ‘Get a life,’” web, Oct. 10).
Former Secretary of State John Kerry recently gave a glimpse of what lies ahead if Democrats retain the White House. He said the First Amendment is a “major block” in the government’s ability to control free speech.
It’s apparent that Democrats want to take away our free speech. They want to control what Americans say. This is primarily true of those who disagree with their ideology.
And this is just one reason why the November election is so important. The Democratic Party is an existential threat to our democracy and the American way of life, which is why Donald Trump should be reelected in November.
Mr. Trump will preserve, protect and defend the Constitution. But in the meantime, James Madison is turning in his grave.
