The First Amendment guarantees freedom of speech, and implied in this are the rights to question and criticize government.

Yet this week and last, during some of the worst natural disasters we have ever seen, President Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas were away from Washington performing nonurgent tasks. Of course, after justified criticism they all gave the appearance of concern and leadership before Hurricane Milton.

All three of these government leaders claimed “misinformation” and “disinformation” when it came to concerns about their absence prior to Hurricane Helene. But that is a fact. Additional facts are that Mr. Mayorkas claimed lack of Federal Emergency Management Agency money, yet FEMA provided very large sums of money for illegal immigration. The administration has also requested support money for Lebanon. People have a right to question all this, and it is not un-American to do so.

Mr. Mayorkas is responsible for the out-of-control invasion by illegal immigrants and the great danger they pose to our country. He is also responsible for his under-oath lies to Congress and the American people about this danger, the poor running of the U.S. Secret Service and the mismanagement of finances at FEMA.

The attacks by the Biden administration are not justified. In fact, they are out of line in criticizing those who are just exercising their constitutional rights. Where are the media in all this?
