OPINION:
On Nov. 6, the morning after the election, my liberal friends and family members were stunned. They couldn’t believe they had lost so decisively to a candidate they’d painted as a convicted felon, rapist, racist — even likening him to Hitler. The historic landslide left them speechless, struggling to understand how the causes they passionately supported had been so firmly rejected by Americans.
But this election wasn’t solely about policy. It was about truth vs. propaganda, informed perspectives vs. misinformation. It was a battle between those who grasped what was truly at stake and those swayed by the mainstream media’s misleading narratives.
Mainstream media outlets as we knew them are over; their credibility is lost. Citizens with smartphones and social media accounts brought down the corporate-backed machine.
For years, media elites collaborated with political powers to manipulate public perception, promote misinformation and obscure the truth. Now, as the dust settles on this resounding defeat, Americans need to reconsider their sources of information and reflect on how they may have been misled.
This was more than a loss of a few seats for the left. It was a comprehensive, humbling rout. The Democrats lost the presidency, the popular vote by over 5 million, the Senate and the House of Representatives.
This overwhelming defeat should prompt introspection among progressives about their values and priorities. For too long, they abandoned their founding principles in favor of a divisive agenda that alienated millions of Americans. Now, they must confront that their extreme policies weren’t just unpopular, but indeed threatened the future of our country.
In recent years, figures such as Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard have left the Democratic Party. Elon Musk has joined the movement. These voices, once part of the left, witnessed the corruption and ineptitude that have come to characterize today’s Democratic Party. Their move is no coincidence. They’ve found a home among those committed to American greatness and to fighting for its restoration.
The left-wing agenda has brought unchecked illegal immigration, rising crime, a spike in inflation, endless wars and the erosion of free speech. By embracing a political ideology rooted in treason, bribery and extortion, the left has forsaken its values in pursuit of power, nearly bringing our nation to its knees.
This betrayal of American values culminated in a historic defeat — a triumph for Main Street over Wall Street, for fairness over corruption and for American exceptionalism over cynicism.
But this is just the beginning. Much work lies ahead. The bureaucratic swamp will be drained, dismantling agencies that have long served interests opposed to those of the people. The Department of Education will be reformed to free our children’s future from government overreach. Our intelligence apparatus will be overhauled, and those guilty of treason, corruption or abuse of power will be held accountable. Soon, a new leader will restore fairness and integrity at the Department of Justice.
The legacy of the Obama era is dismantled, and the Democratic Party as we knew it has imploded. Its extreme agenda led to its downfall. This was not merely a policy misstep; it was the reckless drive toward socialism and the abandonment of core American values that ignited the populist MAGA movement and paved the way for this victory.
With control of Congress and the Oval Office, we have an unprecedented opportunity to effect lasting change. We can rebuild the American dream, create jobs, cut taxes, secure our borders and restore our international standing. By reversing the failed policies of the past, we begin the work of revitalizing our economy and restoring Americans’ faith in their government.
President-elect Donald Trump, through unwavering resolve, achieved what many deemed impossible. Against the odds, he won this historic victory — not just against political opponents but against a complicit media, a politicized intelligence community, Big Tech, liberal prosecutors and entrenched elites who sought to control this nation. He stood for the forgotten Americans dismissed by the political establishment. With his leadership, we have a chance to make America great again.
The Democratic Party is in tatters, its corruption exposed, its extreme agenda rejected. People such as Mr. Musk have fought to bring truth to light, risking everything to unravel the left’s grip on the narrative. The world’s wealthiest man sacrificed his fortune and reputation to champion truth, transparency and the values that make America exceptional.
We must come together to finish what we started. We must work tirelessly to restore America as a beacon of freedom, opportunity and prosperity. Together, we can and will make this country stronger than ever. Together, we will make America great again.
