OPINION:
I hear cries for a “cease-fire” and that Israel should “let Hamas surrender” (“Police break up a pro-Palestinian student protest in Berlin as demonstrations spread across Europe,” web, May 7). Surrender? Here’s the reality: Some 20 Islamic terrorists were prepared to sacrifice their own lives to kill almost 3,000 people (including 11 Aussies) in the twin towers and Washington on Sept. 11, 2001. That’s a kill rate of 150 Westerners each.
So, this bloke is very bloody well sure that Hamas’ ineffably barbaric “fighters” are never going to surrender. They know they are setting examples of destruction methods for the obliteration of Israel and all Jewish people for their puppet masters, the Iranians. Iran will financially reward every family of every Hamas “martyr” who dies trying to kill as many Israelis and/or Jews as possible.
Israel’s so very great late Prime Minister Golda Meir said it all: “Peace will come when the Arabs love their children more than they hate us” and “when peace comes, we will perhaps in time be able to forgive the Arabs for killing our sons, but it will be harder for us to forgive them for having forced us, to kill their sons.”
Let’s not forget Meir’s other wise words: “We don’t thrive on military acts. We do them because we have to, and thank God we are efficient” and “we don’t thrive on war. We do not rejoice in victories. We rejoice when a new kind of cotton is grown, and when the strawberries bloom in Israel.”
