The United Nations and worldwide protests are supposedly concerned about the deaths of Gazans. Israel has always tried to minimize civilian deaths, but Hamas uses Palestinians as human shields, even placing operations and its terrorists in hospitals and other civilian areas (“The UN’s Silence is Antisemitic: Antonio Guterres must go,” web, May 1).

When the U.N. created the “two-state solution,” Israel’s Arab neighbors started wars to destroy Israel and kill all the Jews in the region. After Israel survived, the Arab countries placed the new nation of “Palestinians” in camps, and to this day they exclude them from their countries. Peace requires countries to accede to Israel’s right to exist and guarantee an end to terrorist attacks.
