OPINION:
I’m puzzled by the White House and Democrats’ attacks on special counsel Robert Hur’s reasoning for declining to charge President Biden with a crime (“Biden likely took classified notebooks for $8 million book deal, special counsel claims,” web, March 13). Mr. Hur concluded that Mr. Biden’s age and memory lapses would likely lead a jury not to convict him.
The White House and the Democrats vehemently disagree that Mr. Biden has a memory problem or other age-related issues. In effect, they argue that Mr. Hur’s reason for not prosecuting is wrong. Then the only conclusion we can reach is they believe Mr. Hur should have charged Mr. Biden. Democratic logic on full display.
