The Washington Commanders signed kicker Ramiz Ahmed on Tuesday, two days after releasing Brandon McManus.

The team parted ways with McManus after they learned that two women accused him of sexual misconduct during a flight to London when he was a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Ahmed was the only kicker on the Commanders’ roster as the team reconvened for offseason workouts on Tuesday.

The 28-year-old played sparingly for the Green Bay Packers in 2022 as a kickoff specialist. He did not record any field goal attempts but sent half of his kickoffs into the endzone for touchbacks.

In the spring of 2022, he set a USFL record with a 61-yard field goal as a member of the Pittsburgh Maulers. He most recently played for the UFL’s Birmingham Stallions, converting 10 of 13 field goal attempts before the team cut him on May 28.
