At 74, my number of remaining years seems much more finite than it once did. It’s possible that whoever becomes the president in 2025 is our leader when I’m checking out for good. This is especially true if some Democrat other than President Biden beats former President Donald Trump.

My final years could be sadly tainted, watching our nation continue to decline as Democrats keep running up the tab with frivolous spending. I would have to live out my final days watching the misfits of the world continue to flood our borders with people who have no particular allegiance to the United States. I would have to observe the further abuse of our legal system being weaponized for political purposes.

Before I walk off into the sunset, I’d much rather be on the upswing of the pendulum rather than the unrelenting stagnation and decline we are now experiencing. The Democrats are pulling out all the stops to beat Mr. Trump and win back the House. If they keep Mr. Biden as their candidate, they will surely lose in November. If they replace him with some other ineffectual character, Lord only knows what could happen.
