OPINION:
There is no question that California Gov. Gavin Newsom is waxing rapturous about the Biden debate debacle (“Top Democrats try to shore up Biden after debate disaster,” web, June 28). His challenge now is how to shove Vice President Kamala Harris to the side, for he is too egocentric to aspire to anything less than president.
This is exceedingly entertaining on some demented level, but the honest press has been signaling President Biden’s escalating demise for well over a year. Meanwhile, the progressive contingent buried its collective head in the sludge of abject denial of the obvious.
As former President Barack Obama’s beloved Rev. Jeremiah Wright once opined, “America’s chickens are coming home to roost!” Only this time, it’s for the Democrats.
