OPINION:
The snakes in our grass have been working overtime for the past 60 years to slowly and methodically undermine everything good about America. Tom Basile’s “Democrats’ fraud and deception: Dangerous times for America” (web, July 7) is a stunning, accurate and brilliant summation of the malevolent underside of American politics.
Mr. Basile lists the shrewd, cunning calculations that have brought us to our present crisis by a mentally and morally deficient fraud who, without record or achievement, has been continually promoted and covered for by a compliant mainstream media. These masters of mass psychology have successfully duped the American people in order to grab power and luxuriate in our tax money on a grand scale with no regard for people or principle. Peace and prosperity are under the bus.
Donald Trump won the 2016 election because his naysayers were sure he couldn’t win — so they ignored him. Once they knew differently, they persecuted him for eight years using Soviet tactics Karl Marx would have envied.
Mr. Basile’s perspective on the past six decades of American political history should be required reading in every home, school and religious institution. The Ten Commandments and the Constitution should be taught in every classroom. With the help of God and legitimate leadership, we will begin our return to constitutional government and to peace and prosperity.
