Israel says it killed a top Palestinian Islamic Jihad official in an airstrike in the Gaza Strip.
On Thursday, the Israel Defense Forces and the Shin Bet security agency said Mamdouh Lolo was killed in an airstrike in the northern Gaza Strip. They said he served as an assistant and confidant of top officials in the Islamic Jihad terror group.
“In addition, he was in contact with senior officials in the terrorist organization’s headquarters abroad,” the IDF and Shin Bet said in a joint statement.
They said Mr. Lolo planned and led several terrorist attacks from the Gaza Strip against Israeli civilians and soldiers.
