OPINION:
Article IV of America’s Constitution reads: “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.” It is obvious that Texas is being invaded by illegals who are breaking state laws but our president has not protected the state against invasion or domestic violence. Has he, conspicuously or maliciously, dishonored the oath he took?
Any military troop that violated their oath saying the same thing would be courtmartialed by their commander, as tens of thousands of former commanders can attest.
In this case, only Congress has constitutional power over the president. Active duty troops and us veterans, who pledged our lives to protect America, wait to see whether Congress will require him to honor his oath to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
