Los Angeles police arrested a geriatric career criminal last month after he allegedly held up a bank and hauled off more than $60,000.

Authorities said Bruce Edward Bell, 71, was arrested and charged with kidnapping on Dec. 21 shortly after he fled a Sun Valley bank with the five-figure score.

Police said Bell entered the bank earlier in the day where he grabbed an employee at gunpoint and forced his way into the restricted area. He ordered another employee to fill a bag with cash and then fled the scene.

Bell was pulled over shortly afterward by responding officers. Police said they found a replica handgun and $64,000 in cash inside the car.

LAPD said Bell has four previous convictions for robbing banks and has spent over 40 years of his life in federal prison.

The crook was granted supervised release in July 2021.

Bell is currently being held at a jail operated by the LA County Sheriff’s Department.
