OPINION:
It’s fortunate that the Democrats of today were not around or in charge when we fought World War II.
Imagine our military with soldiers on maternity leave, transsexual soldiers in the midst of transitioning, White soldiers demoted and dismissed for being White extremists, our best and top rangers and airborne decimated and released over refusal to get a vaccine, etc.
Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower, a man of principle, intelligence and integrity, would have resigned long before D-Day over the “woke” diversity, equity and inclusion mandates and deliberate transformation of our troops. Cease-fires would have been set each time a civilian got hurt or a building was blown to smithereens. The Democrats would have made sure that we didn’t hurt Germany or Japan enough for either to lose the war. The Democrats of today would have seen to it that we fought to a stalemate and quickly brought the troops home, leaving all of our friends, allies and equipment behind.
For insight into today’s U.S. military, read Pete Hegseth’s “The War on Warriors.” A word of caution: The book is not an optimistic look at the military, or at least its supposed leadership. The military’s top leaders are now politicized pawns for the political left, the Democrats. The book is an expose from someone who was on the inside until he got thrown out for having a tattoo of a Jerusalem cross. (He was told the tattoo made him a White extremist and an undesirable in the ranks.)
There is no better time than the present to show concern for our nation. The Democrats have been busy dismantling the pillars of our foundation, chewing away like hungry and fanatical beavers intent on total destruction and “change.” Yet the Democrats never define what they are transforming our nation into. If they did, their catastrophic game would be over.
