OPINION:
The selection of Tim Walz as Kamala Harris’ running mate should be viewed as a doubling down on dumb and basically a middle finger to conservatives, independents and any remaining moderates. Normally someone like Ms. Harris would choose a more moderate running mate in an attempt to appear more centrist, but instead, she and her handlers chose to create what amounts to a radical-left dream team.
The Democratic power brokers have decided to push all the chips to the middle of the table, going all in on their extreme-left agenda to run on what they consider to be their accomplishments of the past four years.
Voting for the Harris-Walz ticket is the equivalent of a habitual gambler returning to the same casino night after night and insisting that his luck is going to change. With the Democrats, it’s always the same philosophy and approach: more government control, insane inflationary spending, higher taxes, more crime and instability around the world. To succeed, the radical left’s agenda requires chaos, division and scapegoats such as billionaires, “evil” White men and/or Christian nationalists. It also requires a new boogeyman and/or crisis to justify the suspension of basic civil liberties and constitutional rights and their authoritarian control of everything.
It’s the same casino and same card game, but with a new dealer from San Francisco. Think about the past eight years — four under Republicans and four under Democrats — and take your pick. The radical left may believe the fix is in and the game is over, but if we decide to come together and vote in numbers, the game will be too big to rig and we can turn this disaster around.
