OPINION:
The wolves are circling their prey. With the approach of the 2024 presidential election, the Democratic Party is poised to hand their voters the Roe v. Wade consolation prize: unlimited opportunity to kill your baby, in utero or during birth, preferably with taxpayer money.
Although they control both the Senate and the White House, the Democrats have failed to produce anything for the American people in the past three years. Instead, we see inflation, record spending, high prices, rampant crime and a wide-open border. The Biden administration’s goal has been to ignore the real problems and focus on sustaining the party.
The end of Roe v. Wade was their wake-up call to opportunity. They finally figured out their best chance of winning the presidency this year is to satisfy the hunger of their constituents for unrestricted abortions. They have nothing else to offer.
President Biden and the abortion lobby already demand that all Democratic candidates for office adhere to the radical agenda of unlimited abortion. In 2022, they rammed a bill through the House, where it was supported by all except one member of their party. And Sens. Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren even threatened to change the rules of the Senate in order to pass the bill with a simple majority. The wolves are salivating.
Next year, Virginia Democrats plan to add an abortion-until-birth amendment to the state constitution. If this happens, more babies will be killed and will suffer egregious pain as they’re delivered — and legal protections for the unborn will be eliminated.
For wolves, prey represents survival in the natural world. But that’s where the comparison between them and the Democrats ends. The latter will sacrifice these helpless, nascent humans for the survival of their party. It should be enough to stop anyone with a conscience from voting for them.
