OPINION:
In reading “Biden gives gun control lobby what it wants: A new federal office dedicated to stopping gun violence” (Web, Sept. 22) one gets a clear picture of the real President Biden: a present-day dictator using Gestapo tactics to harass law-abiding gun owners.
This man is going against the Constitution by trying to take away the right of the people to bear and purchase firearms, especially assault weapons. It’s typical of Democrats because they hate gun ownership and are completely blind to the real culprits of gun violence: people. The fact is that people — not firearms — kill people.
The political left doesn’t care about the safety of law-abiding citizens, who live in fear of criminals.
