OPINION:
A pro-life Democratic presidential candidate? Sounds like an oxymoron, but we apparently have one in Terrisa Bukovinac, founder and president of Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising, who recently announced she will run against President Biden.
Her objective? “To be the voice for the voiceless,” or the unborn.
Ms. Bukovinac knows she has no chance of winning, but she is also aware that she can run TV ads that will highlight the great evil that is abortion. She is a welcome Democratic voice, one that is willing to take on the establishment of her party and its support of abortion.
Ms. Bukovinac’s plans call to mind a quote from Frank Pavone, head of Priests for Life, who said, “America will not end abortion until America sees abortion.”
Back in the Old Testament days, pagans would sacrifice their children to false gods. Abortion is the modern version, but the political left has disguised the evil with deceptive words and phrases such as “choice” and “reproductive health.”
In reality, however, it is the same child sacrifice God has always condemned.
