Anyone with even half a brain realizes that there is no single person, such as a president, now in charge of U.S. national policy. The nation is being managed, led and directed by the Cabinet, which is a committee.

Our policies concerning immigration, economics, justice and international terrorism flip-flop continuously because the different voices in the Cabinet take us in circular directions in trial-and-error national strategies. The Biden administration keeps throwing dictates against the wall to see what might finally stick or actually work.

It must be remembered that the horse designed by a committee turned out to be a mule.
