Police in Florida arrested two 16-year-old boys Sunday after one of them threatened to kill a sheriff’s sergeant at his home.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said the two teens are facing charges of burglary with assault on a law enforcement officer and threatening a law enforcement official for the predawn break-in at the sergeant’s home on Stock Island near Key West.

Authorities said the sergeant noticed his front door was ajar at about 4:15 a.m. He spotted the teen suspects standing on his front porch.

“I know you are the police, I don’t care and I will kill all of you,” one of the teens said, according to the sheriff’s office. “I will come back and kill you all.”

The teens were taken into custody following a brief investigation.

“I will not tolerate threats of violence against my personnel and I want to commend the deputies and detectives who worked so quickly to find and arrest those responsible for making these threats,” said Sheriff Rick Ramsay.
