OPINION:
Lifting Title 42 restrictions was a terrible move (“Biden’s illegal immigrant flood,” web, May 1).
It seems our government has two approaches to policy issues: It either doesn’t react at all, or it overreacts. There are more intelligent and logical ways to deal with our immigration and border issues, but apparently the Biden administration and its Democratic hordes across the nation don’t want to hear it.
There’s a vital need to vet everyone who wants to come into the U.S. It will take longer, of course, but it would be far more secure than the current porous-border setup. If we don’t screen everyone who wants to come in, we have no idea who we are letting into our nation, nor do we know what diseases or criminal intent they may be bringing.
Ending Title 42 was an awful decision, but it seems to be just one of many made by our administration and Democrats across the nation. The only people this helps are Democratic politicians, who will get more votes.
