OPINION:
My hope is that voters will not give up on former President Donald Trump (“Trump’s antics could get him locked up at Manhattan arraignment,” web, March 29).
Even though he may be arrogant, stubborn and pompous — and at times acts out like a spoiled brat — the man is a brilliant, strong leader.
Under President Trump, we prospered with a vibrant economy. Our enemies respected him, and the U.S.-Mexico border was more secure than ever.
While Mr. Trump may have a gruff bedside manner, we need look no farther than the White House to know that a softer touch often lacks the necessary skills.
For the good of the country, my suggestion is to look past Mr. Trump’s shortcomings. Who among us is perfect?Â
