OPINION:
The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence seems an appropriate name for a group of drag queens dressed as nuns, given that our nation has become more self-indulgent than any in history (“Dodgers scratch award for drag queens dressed like nuns after Catholic backlash,” web, May 17).
All past societies of similar bent bit the dust due to runaway moral decay. But today’s cancel-culture folks would deny this fact because it doesn’t fit their agenda.
To say the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence are disgusting is too mild. One would think that our president, a self-proclaimed Catholic, would have been outraged at the prospect of a hateful, anti-Catholic drag show at Dodger Stadium. Yet he said nothing. He really couldn’t, you see, because his extreme-left ideology won out over what one might have expected from moral, “good Catholic” President Biden.
Mr. Biden’s lack of morality and decency have been on display for decades, but hey, it’s good old Joe, after all. He just may have forgotten what’s right and what’s wrong.
Psalm 11:3 (“If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?”) comes quickly to mind.
