Politics is antithetical to science.

Why do we so predictably inject politics into issues where scientific findings should be preeminent? It’s become obvious that the Wuhan lab leak is most likely the origin of COVID-19.

It’s also pretty clear that the vaccines for COVID-19 bear a greater resemblance to therapeutics than true vaccines.

What’s more, all of the mask wearing and lockdowns appear to have been marginally effective at best, and on and on.

The politicization of the pandemic is a perfect example of how science and politics don’t mix. When science becomes weaponized for political purposes, it is no longer science; it’s just partisan politics.

Nothing constructive gets done with all the bickering, and we end up implementing policies that make no sense.

Our primary news sources failed in their investigative capacity to expose the corruption in and propaganda coming from our own government. They seemed to be piling on to whatever political narrative they favored.

COVID-19 became a significantly bigger disaster than it ever needed to be. Politicians concerned themselves much more with scoring political points than working toward the public good — the price of which we’ll be paying for a long time to come.
