OPINION:
Monday was was a bad day for the Marxists in America who watched as two football teams knelt on the field in full view of millions to pray for an injured comrade (“Family of Bills’ Hamlin thankful for outpouring of support,” Web, Jan. 3). It was a moment of truth and a turning point for freedom of speech and freedom of religion in public life. Both have been too long abused in a country founded on these rights. In extreme moments of danger and fear, people know instinctively where to turn.
