OPINION:
Recently, babies were shot on the streets of Democrat-run Baltimore, where poverty is rising, education is failing and they spend more on education than most systems in the country (or the world, for that matter). I believe that so-called liberal values and ideas can be blamed for most of the problems we see today.
Liberals are working to destroy the traditional family, which has been valued for thousands of years. It is in the family that youth learn right from wrong by age 7. Now liberal talking heads tell us that youth are not morally developed until late into their 20s. Is this just to excuse the failure of the parents they have encouraged?
They tell us it is the duty of liberal-run school systems to teach the woke view of human life — while they increasingly fail to teach the basics. Most systems in Democrat-run districts have failed to get students beyond second grade-level learning. For years we have seen that education and hard work are the dual road up and out of poverty. Now, to excuse the failure of liberal education, radical liberals say giving people money is what lifts them out of poverty. But all that does is create slaves to the government. That is the new liberal racism.
Democrat-run cities have increasing crime and murders. They say getting rid of legal guns is the answer. They ignore that criminals get guns no matter how strict gun laws get. They refuse to increase jail time for the use of a gun in the commission of crime. I believe they do so for race-related reasons. Liberals appear to believe that racism by minorities is the way to stop racism by the majority. To stop racism altogether, it must be called out no matter where it comes from.
It is past time we rid our society of these liberal values and ideas.
