The financial stability of both Social Security and Medicare is in jeopardy. Naturally, the Democrats want to increase spending but without reining in exorbitant deficit spending. This is after they bailed out all the failed union pension funds and Democratic-city mismanagement during the pandemic.

On top of this, the Democratic policy of open borders has been a catastrophic drain on taxpayers. This has been estimated to have cost over $20 billion a year.

Instead of looking at future cuts in essential programs, it is time to completely cut those programs that have not helped our country or citizens. First, stop illegal immigration. The expenditures on millions of illegal immigrants is unconscionable and putting at risk those who deserve services. Second, stop all funding of nongovernmental organizations, which are just a cover for left-wing activists. These NGOs should be supported by private individuals or groups, not taxpayers. (Consider that veteran groups that should be supported by the government are instead left for patriotic-citizen donations.)

Lastly, get out of the United Nations. This organization does not support our interests. While we are spending billions on Ukraine to fight Russian aggression, what has the U.N. done for Ukraine?

A small savings could also be had by cutting funding from federal agencies for National Public Radio, a mouthpiece for left-wing policy and climate delusion.
