Since the Biden administration wants to prosecute former President Donald Trump for words he said during his time in office, I think we should begin to prosecute other previous presidents for their words or deeds while in office, too.

We could start with former President Barack Obama.

In 2011, Mr. Obama authorized the killing of an American citizen who happened to reside in Yemen. Anwar al-Awlaki was accused of terrorist activities.

But the drone strike that killed him prevented him from getting his day in court.

Also, we were not at war with Yemen. So, it looks like Mr. Obama committed an act of murder with his order.

To be fair, Mr. Trump gave the order that resulted in the killing of al-Awlaki’s daughter in 2017.

Where will this stop? Hopefully the Supreme Court has an appropriate answer.
