Tired of the Trump chase

OPINION:

Despite being a farmer and mainly interested in my cows and pigs, today I found myself drawn to national news and wondering something.

Why hasn’t the current president, who is being investigated for various illegal activity, been charged yet, and why is the previous president facing charges despite his “crimes” being debatable at best? 

I’m tired of constantly hearing about which prosecutors are leaving or joining the cases against former President Donald Trump.

Prosecutors always worry me. As long as I haven’t broken the law, I don’t see why I should remember their names and roles or have their gloomy faces haunting my nightmares.

This is frustrating, especially after three years of hearing daily about doctors, diseases and statistics on the number of people being admitted to hospitals and dying.

With all these issues involving prosecutors and lawyers, I can’t help but wonder if we’ll soon have statistics on how many people will be prosecuted and imprisoned.

Can’t people just have some peace? Can’t my cows, pigs and chickens enjoy a bit of paradise before they meet their fate at the slaughterhouse?
