Weiss appointment violates rules

OPINION:

Attorney General Merrick Garland last week appointed U.S. attorney for the District of Delaware David Weiss special counsel to further investigate the highly questionable activities of Hunter Biden (“Weiss’ new job seen as ’cover-up’ for Bidens; special counsel botched plea deal,” web, Aug. 13).

This appointment is a clear violation of Justice Department regulation. A special counsel must be independent of government. 

Mr. Garland’s appointment of Mr. Weiss is an obvious mechanism to block and stonewall congressional committee investigations of
members of the Biden family syndicate.  

In the interest of justice, this appointment must be struck down forthwith.
